These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

It’s the holiday season and it’s time to think about presents for the gardeners on your list — including yourself.

For the next few days I’ll be focused on some of the great gardening tools I’ve used this year. Some I’ve written about before and some I’m reviewing for the first time so here goes.

This year when we attended the Proven Wonders Grand Garden Show on Mackinac Island we both got goody bags with some great items included. The result? I now have a new favorite pair of gardening gloves, the Foxglove eGlove.

Why do I like these?

  1. Fit comes first — they fit close the the hand and they’re really comfortable — it’s almost like you are barehanded when you wear them. I have small hands and big gloves are hard to maneuver safely. No such worries here.

  2. Sensitive tips — these allow me to use my smartphone without taking the gloves off. Since I am frequently using the phone to identify plants or set timers I really appreciate this capability.

  3. Patterned fingers AND palms that improve your grip.

I’ve also used these gloves as an extra layer under winter gloves when I go outside. It can get pretty chilly here — it’s 31 today as I write this — and I’ve found that layers help me keep my often cold hands warmer.
